I completed my apprenticship on 7th December 2011, having been through a full 5 year apprenticeship with Goldsmiths' Company. I am a Freeman of the Goldsmiths' Company and of the City of London; a prestigious award dating back to 1273.
I carried out my Diamond Mounting apprenticeship at Theo Fennell, focussing on jewellery making to the highest of standards. Whilst at Theo Fennell I competed in the Craft Council competition; winning many awards including the Podolski Award - a celebration of the talent of young craftsman in silversmithing. I also competed and won the UK Skills Competition for Diamond mounting in 2009.
After working at Theo Fennell for 7 years in total, I moved to Sussex to work for Perry Ltd., where I made larger pieces including models and regalia, which enabled, me to further develop my goldsmithing technique. I was also able to enhance my time-management and attention to detail whilst working on these larger projects. I was at Perry Ltd for three years until I moved to David McCarty Ltd., where I was involved in international projects. I moved back to the south coast to be the workshop director for a jewllery company in Portsmouth. Here I setup a new shop and workshop for the company.
I am now embarking on my own enterprise and am looking forward to putting the experience and knowledge from the past 12 years into new and exciting designs. With a workshop in West Sussex, I am capable of making bespoke pieces from jewellery to objet d'art; working with precious metals and gemstones.
